- National Regulatory Standards Collaboration (NRSC)™ Programs
foster consensus and collaboration on the development and adoption of standards
Overview
The National Regulatory Standards Collaboration (NRSC)™ Program is a global initiative designed to foster consensus and collaboration on the development and adoption of standards for Verse-related Technologies.
The Program, initiated and coordinated by the Global Verse Union (GVU), serves as a comprehensive platform for fostering consensus and collaboration in the development and adoption of standards within the realm of Verse-related Technologies.
The program is structured to facilitate engagement with various international bodies and organizations, aiming to create a harmonized approach to standards that transcends geographical boundaries.
The program is built around the principles of openness, transparency, and inclusivity, and it seeks to bring together stakeholders from around the world to address the challenges and opportunities of the emerging Verse-related Technologies landscape.
Program Objectives
The National Regulatory Standards Collaboration (NRSC)™ Program has the following objectives:
- Promote the development of harmonized and interoperable standards for Verse-related Technologies
- Facilitate the adoption of standards by national regulatory bodies
- Encourage participation from a wide range of stakeholders, including government agencies, industry consortia, academia, and civil society
- Foster collaboration on joint initiatives to address common challenges
- Enhance mutual understanding of standardization needs and priorities.
- Increase coordination on standards issues.
- Strengthen the ability of GVU and collaborators to develop impactful consensus-based standards.
- Identify opportunities to advance respective and collective missions.
Program Structure
The NRSC Program is structured around four key pillars:
Membership and Technical Group Liaisons: GVU coordinates with various bodies and organizations from around the world through membership and technical group liaisons. This ensures that the program is informed by the latest developments in standards development and that it is aligned with the needs of national regulatory bodies.
Standards Development Life Cycle (SDLC): The NRSC Program provides a flexible SDLC framework to help improve mutual understanding of standardization and related needs and priorities. This framework includes a process for identifying and prioritizing standards development needs, developing standards, and promoting standards adoption.
International Collaboration: GVU works with international organizations and institutions to encourage cooperation on global problems and to enhance understanding of the role of standards in facilitating innovation, supporting sustainable development and technology governance, and in helping to address global challenges through practical knowledge and real-world perspective.
Verse-related Technologies Domains: The NRSC Program will have separate programs for each of the following Verse-related Technologies domains:
These programs will focus on the specific national adaptations required from the National Standards Bodies for each domain.
These programs will focus on the specific national adaptations required from the National Standards Bodies for each domain.
Program Benefits
The NRSC Program provides a number of benefits to stakeholders, including:
Enhanced understanding of Verse-related Technologies: The program provides a forum for stakeholders to share knowledge and expertise on Verse-related Technologies. This can help to improve understanding of the technologies and their potential impact.
Harmonized and interoperable standards: The program promotes the development of harmonized and interoperable standards for Verse-related Technologies. This can help to reduce fragmentation in the market and make it easier for companies to develop and deploy Verse-related Technologies solutions.
Accelerated standards adoption: The program facilitates the adoption of standards by national regulatory bodies. This can help to accelerate the deployment of Verse-related Technologies and ensure that they are used in a safe and responsible manner.
Increased collaboration: The program fosters collaboration between stakeholders on joint initiatives to address common challenges. This can help to accelerate innovation and development of Verse-related Technologies solutions.
